    Hi,

I am new to Java dev platforms, so I am not quite sure what to do to download and get started with my coding my strategies. The setup page is not very helpful. Could you please guide me as to which files to download and where to open them in net beans.
Attached is a screen shot of where I stand. I made a project by the name of algoquant and build it. Now when I try to import the file using eclipse, I get an error saying that the file does not contain a regular Eclipse workspace.

    Yash,

As you are in our community of quantitative researchers, you should already receive your login, password and the url to your project.

Then you need to install svn, check out the project, and build it. Have you got past that stage yet?

If you are totally new to Java, you need to learn to code in SuanShu first. There are some examples you can find here:
    http://redmine.numericalmethod.com/projects/public/repository/show/Examples/src/main/java/com/numericalmethod/suanshu/examples

    For regression, you may see:
    http://redmine.numericalmethod.com/projects/public/repository/entry/Examples/src/main/java/com/numericalmethod/suanshu/examples/LinearRegression.java

To start learning Java, a good tutorial is here:

You don’t need to download SuanShu or AlgoQuant from our website as, as a quantitative researcher in our network, all is setup for you in svn. The download of the systems and data is automatic via svn.

You need to download the client, not the server.

    https://tortoisesvn.net

There is basic tutorial on using source code control like svn.

    Thanks.
