    Hi,

I’m on Dr. Li’s course at UST.
Able to download the .zip file near the bottom of http://numericalmethod.com/algoquant/
However, I could not find the .exe to install algoquant, any suggestion please.
The question is what do I do straight after I downloaded algoquant-1.1.0.zip?

    Thanks,

    Vincent Tse

There is no .exe installer. It comes with source code. All you just need to do is to open the project in Netbeans. See the setup guild for help:

It looks like that the error was due to unstable Internet connection. Could you please try building the project again?

Please let me know if the problem persists.

YES ran it again, and it built, thanks.
However it was ran without Tests.
If I build it again with tests, can’t seems to download certain things from Yahoo Finance again.

    Is this normal?

For the yahoo link you suggested, I am able to connect and download a ‘quotes.csv’ file.

    Results :

    Tests in error:

It’s normal to see some tests failing when Yahoo’s service is down.

If you go to Yahoo Finance website, e.g.,
    http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=0001.HK+Historical+Prices

You will find that you cannot download the prices to a spreadsheet. So, don’t worry, you may try it again later. But this doesn’t stop you from coding with AlgoQuant, your installation of AlgoQuant is good to use now.
